3rd Quarter Results Show Mixed Results

The 3rd quarter statistics from the Grand County MLS show some slowing in sales in the Winter Park area although prices continue to gain, compared to the 3rd quarter of 2005. Homes sold were off 11% while the average price rose from $422,433 to $557,955, a 32% gain. Condominiums sold were 11% down as the average price rose to %264,168, an increase of 18%.

Year over year comparisons for a full year show that home sales are up 12% and condominium sales are up 27% so it is still a question where sales will end up for 2006.
