Winter Park spending big on improvements

Colorado's Winter Park Resort ski area has sunk nearly $5 million into capital improvements for the upcoming 2006-2007 ski season.

The $4.8 million in on-mountain improvements include adding a triple chairlift, seven new trails and a sales fulfillment center. Snow fencing was improved, and the Snoasis mid-mountain lodge got a facelift.
